Quick ramble...

Evening folks. 7pm here and it's time for a break. Oh, got a couple more hours of work let to do tonight to get ready for tomorrow's psychic fair we're hosting, but for now it is time to kick back and digest some pizza. Mmm!

Not going to go into a rehash of the day, such boring stuff, that. No, looking towards the future now; just received work back from our house hunter so it's going to be another trip up to Vermont this Tuesday to look at, hell I don't know, another 6 places maybe? Could be more since she usually tacks on another 1 or two the night before.

So now I am sitting here thinking, "Hmm, what would I do with a ballroom?" Granted, it is only 20 x 27 feet (place was built in 1820) still, just look at that ceiling:

Can anyone know what anticipation my creative little soul feels just looking at it? Because I see something 4 season-ish, a panel each devoted to the Solstice Holidays, things with representational trees and celestial skies as well as all the festive goodies adorning...set-back lights which would highlight each one in its seasonal turn... As well as the others, done much smaller in their own solar-defined position on the walls.

Hehe, there’s got to be a Puritan buried close just rolling over in their grave now. Ah well

Extra benny of this 10 acre place is that it is riverfront and conservation land. Here’s a snap of a piece of it:

And there I am sorry to say I have to stop. Mom just phoned and I’m having trouble re-capturing the energy I had when I first sat down here at 7pm...almost an hour ago. Had some good news to relate about my niece Abby. Seems she took this...Menza (phonetic, because too tired to look up the spelling) test and passed it. 16 years old and IQ of 152. Girl's go her choice of colleges, all paid. Kudos for her! Love that kid. Mom says she is exactly like me in so many ways (reading, artist, goes wild for dragons) indeed, mom says that even I cannot imagine how similar we are. (Except the poor kid has the childhood arthritis as well...sick and hurting all the time. DAMN IT!!!)

On the flip side of all that, my mom is getting divorced. (Sighs...) Another damn shame and not something she wants to do at all. Again though, what can you do? Personally, from what I have seen all the compromises have been from mom’s quarter...as well as the financial losses. Sold her house, moved to a place where she can’t get work (I mean really, she can’t do it. Southern, and they don’t like Yanks. Add to that it is rural and everyone gives jobs to relatives. Seriously, she went to a horse farm and said she would shovel out the stalls for free for a week, just so they could see how good a worker she is. Farm girl from way back. The answer was no. I mean come on, she couldn’t even shovel horse shit for free? Talk about being locked out!) Then the guy (husband) who is always moving from state to state on construction contract jobs spend all “their” money (re profit from selling mom’s house) on a new truck, fancy red-neck uber tractor/mower (which he takes the keys with him when he leaves for weeks) and blah, blah, blah...

Ah well.

Man, my eyes are going fuzzy. Better post and get back to work.

Nighters all,

Melissa
