Do you know what I am going to write about here next?
Neither do I! LOL Lets enjoy the ride together!
Cheers! Melissa

About 3am here and I’m feeling pretty good. Centered, almost like my old self again. Man, it has been too long. Unfortunately, I just don’t have “it” enough together to do some writing. Maddening, because I’ve so many new stories in my head, as well as the final chapter to Steven’s Story...yet I just can’t go there as yet. Have to keep the brain focused on the here and now. Nuts. Really wanted to get these two chapters of a new vampire/mystery-thriller piece out of my head for October, but alas, it’s just not going to happen. Other things as well...sighs, I just cannot wait till this whole chapter of my life if over and done with...
Soon, soon, please, gods and goddesses--soon!
Received an email from Ursel today, asking if we are going to attend the big holiday exhibit kick-off this Friday night. Says I am missed there, LOL as well as when I show up, tell them what to change in the arrangements an’ displays to make it “sing”. (My words.) Still, that was my job. Just don’t get it, place is crawling with artists and yet there seems to be no visual sense whatsoever...ah well.
I suppose we are going to go, final time and all that, still, it is going to be most odd, all the emotional stuff etc. Then it’s the opera on the 1st. Sighs...
Well, whatever. Suppose I should try to get some sleep, though it feels so far away at the moment. Same old story, still at least the good part of me is “awake” again. Have missed it. That last ditch effort, is this the calm before the final storm? Don’t know. Friday...if there is anything keeping us from going to the opening it is fact that it is on that day. That dream I had, yes? At least I think I posted it somewhere earlier, the one about some Big Bad happening to Emile with Them. I was given warnings and I passed them on to Emile. He’s going to do his best and I know he remembers because some of it has already happened; that “flash” of a pre-moment. The one where Emile comes into my room and says, “Yes, it is October, but it is not the full moon yet.” And everything was exact, from our positions to the clothing he was wearing.
Still, we know what to watch for and what to do, so there, we’ll be fine.
Interesting note. Emile was out walking Timber and he ran across our friendly Buddhist Monk again. Though the gent is pleading for us to stay, still, his wife had connections and they have a woman already interested in our property. Seems the old house is worth exactly what we thought it was (f you, dumb realtor! We knew it!) But yeah, seems unbeknownced to most (like the idiot realtor) our area has been zone “village” which means that if there is a commercial enterprise currently in your building that is fine. Once it turns residential then that is it forever--no more commercial zoning. So basically, if there is someone wanting to have a business in this area then they HAVE to buy a house/building where one already exists.
Hmm, not too shabby that. Gives us a tough of an edge if nothing else.
Okay, that’s all for now, my wrists are shot. Tell you though, in some ways it feels so damn good to have a paintbrush in my hand again despite the pain. Guess there’s hope on that front as well. I’ve missed it terribly these past few years, the unability to create through that means.
Well, we’ll see what the future holds. I believe, as does Emile, that once we are gone from here, this environment, it’s stresses as well as the darn pollution in this state, that I am going to get better. I’d like that. And even if it only abates, then I’ll have “enough” to just work through it because the art will be for me--not business related or anything else--just simply to create a work of art.
Fingers crossed.
Cheers and Good Morning, everyone,
Melissa
3:42pm Another break? Yeah, what can I say, been dealing with some continuous nausea. Think it's the days upon days of fumes and all the stuff being kicked up now as things which haven't been touched for years are being hauled out, wiped off and packed up. Still, at this point it is “chip, chip, chip away” and things are getting done, so no problem.
On a good note, one of my orders arrived today! Whee, I am so psyched! Love getting stuff, just can’t help it.
Man, I am so tired....
Funny thing happened at lunch, poor Emile. We were talking and he popped something into his mouth, there was a CRUNCH and he yells “Argggh!” and spits out a handful of what looks like agent orange...it was his softgel multivite. Stuff is everywhere and he guzzles the juice, and trying to keep lunch down he gasps through a tight face, “Poor...more lemonade...” and me, I’m laughing so hard as I fall back on the couch I am silent, locked up and thinking I’m going to throw up because it is just too funny! Yes, I know it must taste ghastly and he is really suffering, but man, I hurt myself laughing so hard! Managed to pour him more juice (before I fell back) and suggest he start hitting the chips and salsa, which he does with pale-faced gusto.
Poor Emile... hehe.
Now, beyond that, I’ve got some tough stuff to do here later. Painful things, but no need to go into it. I’m tired of bitching as well. Well, moaning I mean. No problem with bitching as long as it accomplishes something. Loath weakness, think I mentioned that before.
Still, at the moment the sun is shining brightly, and knowing the bathroom is getting the full brunt of it I may extend this break and go soak in the tub for a bit. After I may try to get up the energy to take some more pictures of some of my stuff, such as my Yule Tree collection. (Re “Christmas” for you non-traditionalists out there, hehe.) See, some of these trees were good ones, I like them to have “character” and when their job is done I strip the bark from them and then do some wood-burnishing/etching into them. They look pretty cool leaning in corners around the place and yes, they will be coming with us. Parts of some at least. Notches for holding crystals, I just love things from nature...
‘kay, I’m outta here for now, sorta drifty.
Cheers folks,
Melissa
